What is the future of the textile industry in Pakistan?

Specialists at the Agricultural University in Faisalabad, Pakistan, have established paint for jeans that use the cannabis plant.

The fiber used to make these jeans comprises a definite quantity of fiber from the cannabis plant.

Specialists from the Department of Fabric and Textile Technology at the Agricultural University have established a fiber by amalgamation hemp and cotton inside the laboratory using wild hemp, which produces naturally in Pakistan. After that, the entire process from this fiber to the manufacture of jeans was finished in the laboratory.

But that is not the case. Cannabis jeans are previously being made and worn in the world.

Many textile mills in Pakistan were spreading such jeans after engineering them in factories. However, the cannabis fiber used in these pants was imported. Because this fiber is costly, hemp jeans are manufactured on a inadequate scale.

That is why the latest struggles of the specialists of Faisalabad Agricultural University are being measured as good news for the future of Pakistan's economy and particularly the textile industry.

Dr Asad Farooq, chairman of the Department of Fabric and Textile Technology at the Agricultural University of Faisalabad, told: “Cannabis is a multi-billion dollar industry. The request for cannabis jeans in the worldwide market is very high and is continuously increasing. Pakistan could earn billions of dollars in foreign exchange from its auction.

However, it was significant that the cannabis yarn used in the production of such jeans be made nearby. In this way, a source of cannabis yarn can be made, which will decrease its price.

Using this inexpensive thread, jeans mills in Pakistan can make inexpensive pants and sell them luxuriously in the world market.

Petition for this field has grown meaningfully as a consequence of recent business scandals.

Cannabis jeans charge much more than jeans made completely from cotton. In view of this, US Group, a main manufacturer and exporter of jeans in Lahore, communicated Dr. Asad and his department and asked them to work on it.

Nearby shaped jeans are completed under a contract touched between the two, but the question is why cannabis is being assorted in jeans, what is so unusual about it?

What are cannabis jeans?

Dr Asad Farooq, chairman of the Department of Fabric and Textile Technology, told that the unusual object about cannabis jeans is that they are "maintainable jeans".

So weren't jeans prepared from cotton tough? According to Dr. Asad Farooq, hemp jeans are called sustainable because hemp is measured a more sustainable crop than cotton. That is why the technique of making jeans from hemp is more sustainable.

"There is a insight around the world that the textile industry is a contaminating industry. This is because the cotton crop needs large quantities of water and chemical manures. Pesticides are another.

This means that as a consequence of fast environment change and events taken to stop them, cotton will not be obtainable in large amounts in the coming days. That is, it will not be sufficient to meet the requirements of clothing. Therefore, it has not been maintainable.

In contrast, cannabis does not need water, fertilizers or pesticides. That is why the petition for hemp jeans in the world is continuously increasing.

Why cannabis, why no other crop?

According to Dr. Asad Farooq, hemp is not only a sustainable plant but also has disinfected assets.

Cannabis fiber is existing inside its woof or stem so it cannot be injured by insects or bugs. And the plant produces naturally with rainwater, meaning it doesn't want much water or fertilizer.

According to Dr. Asad, its major benefit is that it is a natural fiber. "When you substitute cannabis with cotton, it should be natural. Cannabis has the possible to be a substitute for cotton.
